What does an amicable separation agreement of separation or divorce contain?

An amicable agreement of separation or divorce anticipates all the consequences of a break-up. It settles the main questions that inevitably arise from these circumstances, such as:

  • Where will the children live? How will custody and access be shared? Who will pay the cost of the children's schooling?
  • Who will remain in the family dwelling? Should it be sold?
  • Who will keep the furniture?
  • Who will pay off the spouses’ joint debts?
  • Will there be alimony and child support? To whom and for how long?
  • How will the family patrimony be divided and how will the matrimonial regime be liquidated?
  • Will a compensatory allowance be paid? etc.
